Horizon Investments Announces Two C-Suite Promotions

Horizon Investments, LLC, is today announcing two key promotions from within its senior leadership team.

Danielle Learned has been promoted from Director of Client Operations to Chief of Staff, while Stephen Terry has been promoted from Head of Finance to Chief Financial Officer. Both promotions are effective immediately and Ms. Learned joins Mr. Terry on Horizon’s Executive Committee.

Ms. Learned has been with Horizon since 2018. As Director of Client Operations, she worked closely with financial advisors to help support their efforts in growing their practices; she also served as the relationship manager for Horizon’s consulting clients. In her new role, Ms. Learned will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of the firm’s various strategic initiatives, helping translate the firm’s mission and vision into action. She is the first woman to join Horizon’s Executive Committee. Prior to joining Horizon, Ms. Learned was an Assistant Vice President of Advisory Product Management with LPL Financial, and she previously held roles with Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., Prudential Annuities, and MetLife Securities, Inc. Ms. Learned earned a BS in Management from Western Connecticut State University and holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 licenses.

Mr. Terry joined Horizon in 2017 following more than a decade working in private equity, building businesses across a number of industries. He began his career at Capital One, where he managed several areas of the consumer lending business. Mr. Terry oversees all financial functions for the firm, including reporting, data analytics, budgeting, treasury, and capital raising. He will continue to be a member of Horizon’s Executive Committee, helping set the strategic direction of the firm.
