Bounce Announces Metalents, The Metaverse Marketplace For Freelancers

San Francisco, California--(Newsfile Corp. - April 20, 2022) - Bounce ($AUCTION), the marketplace for decentralized auctions, today announced the creation of Metalents, a freelance marketplace for web3 projects and independent workers to come together. Powered by Bounce, Metalents is designed to match supply and demand in the web3 labor market, helping projects and creators find one another, creating greater price and payment transparency, establishing clear ownership of digital assets, and curating portfolios for creators to highlight their works in the form of NFTs.

Launched in early 2020, Bounce is a pioneer in decentralized auction marketplaces, leading the crypto foray into the auction space, resulting in the mass adoption of decentralized auction tools by projects and individuals in the web3 era.

Building off the project's rich DeFi experience and infrastructure, Bounce is now launching Metalents, a way for projects and creators to come together and better match supply and demand in the web3 labor market. With content creation a core demand for web3 projects ranging from art-based NFTs, GameFi, and other applications, Metalents aims to create greater transparency for artists, developers, and projects to work together as the industry's professional standard for freelancing.

Currently, there are two types of content creation: passive creation, where artists generate content and monetize through NFT sales (such as platforms like OpenSea), and proactive creation where content creators build customized content based on explicit demand. Customized content is needed for the Metaverse, GameFi, collectibles, and technical support in terms of product design, coding, and blockchain data analysis. The rise of web3 demand for creative talents has outpaced access to labor, requiring a new model to bridge talent supply with demand. With this context, Metalents has developed a full suite of products facilitating the creation of customized content for web3 projects, and giving creators an open platform to build their portfolio and source gigs.

Talent has been cited as the single greatest barrier to growth for web3 projects. Whether it be for creative, data analysis, marketing, or tech engineers, projects are experiencing a squeeze in access to talent, and have expressed the need for a solution to help them find top-performing freelancers and hires. At the same time, for freelancers, it is sometimes challenging to find quality projects that will pay a transparent price for deliverables, with some artists getting pennies on the dollar for NFT projects.

In the initial web version, creatives will submit requests for deliverables, enjoy a fully-featured chat system, and utilize full connectivity with mainstream social media platforms. It is open to anyone and users do not need to understand the underlying decentralized technology in great detail in order to succeed. Many currencies will be accepted, in both crypto and fiat.

The Bounce $AUCTION token will be the underlying functional token for the entire Metalents platform. Bounce's decentralized financial platform, Bounce Finance, will continue to operate fully, as its infrastructure is permissionless and self-running. Revenue generation from Bounce Finance will also still be provided to $AUCTION stakers.

The main focus of Bounce moving forward will be Metalents, demonstrating the team's strong and passionate conviction about Metalents and the future of the Metaverse. The end goal of Metalents is to build a metaverse with a city of workshops, owned for free, where all stores are for customized products. Metalents also intends to build native versions of Metalents including mobile implementation in the future.
