EQS-News: Serial and modular building 2-0 of the Federal Government - Traumhaus has cleared the first hurdle of the Europe-wide tender

• Management considers capital increase as a private placement

In March, the Federal Ministry of Building and the Central Association of the Housing Industry GdW launched a two-stage Europe-wide tendering process for future-oriented concepts of serial and modular housing construction. In the first part of the tender, bidders had to prove their competence in serial and modular construction through various reference projects as well as their economic potential in order to be admitted to the second stage. Traumhaus has cleared this first hurdle of the Europe-wide tender.

In the second stage - to which a maximum of 40 bidders have been admitted - Traumhaus will serially and modularly plan and develop a building in solid construction on a fictitious plot of land, as well as set the price for the building. The companies that also successfully complete this part of the tender gain a time advantage over their competitors. Because there is now a framework agreement that applies across Europe and enables public companies in particular to avoid lengthy tenders.

Otfried Sinner, CEO of Traumhaus AG: “We are very pleased that Traumhaus has achieved in the second and final round of this program for serial and modular construction 2.0. We are pioneers in serial and modular construction and have just opened our construction competence center near Koblenz, in the center of our sales area. In the first step, we produce environmentally friendly and energetic masonry modules in solid construction cheaply and quickly with high quality. We plan to run the site in several shifts and to develop and produce further module components for serial construction and expansion. What was originally intended only for our own projects is enjoying increasing demand from third parties, to whom we have now opened up our range of products and services.”

In order to secure the general framework for action and this innovative lead in research and development in serial and modular construction in solid construction, the board of Traumhaus AG (ISIN: DE000A2NB7S2) is considering a capital increase by way of a private placement. So far, all activities have been carried out from the current cash-flow.

“We can see that interest in buying a residential property is now increasing again – albeit at a low level. However, the market remains tense and the much slower sell-off is forcing us to do more pre-financing in project development and construction. This puts a much greater strain on the company's liquidity than before the crisis and it is permanently, but it is necessary to secure the planned sales," says Otfried Sinner.
