Now in its third year, the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) Software Engineering Institute (SEI) recently reaffirmed its commitment to Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) as a Tier 1 strategic partner.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 18, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Now in its third year, the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) Software Engineering Institute (SEI) recently reaffirmed its commitment to Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) as a Tier 1 strategic partner.

Being a Tier 1 strategic partner continues CMU SEI's commitment to a thriving and vibrant community of cybersecurity professionals that WiCyS has created through year-round programming and special events.

CMU hosted the 2019 WiCyS Conference in Pittsburgh, with countless volunteer hours provided by the SEI's CERT Division. The SEI's CERT Division is known as the "birthplace of cybersecurity research" having created the world's first computer security incident response team, the CERT Coordination Center, to respond to widespread Internet attacks.
