When a high school babysitter visits the site, they can create a free account that their parent or guardian verifies, providing continued access to monitor their child's safety. When babysitters register, they specify how far they are willing to travel. Parents seeking a babysitter can post a job with specific details, such as how many kids and the date of the job. HighSchoolBabysitters.com calculates the distance between the job and registered babysitters, then notifies local high school babysitters via text message about jobs posted in their area, asking them if they are interested in the job. Next, a list of interested babysitters is sent to the parent.
