Ruta Uno Tolls in Costa Rica Will Have Kapsch TrafficCom’s Technology

In a consortium with ETC Peajes Electrnicos S.A., a partner with local presence in Costa Rica, Kapsch TrafficCom has just been chosen by the Fideicomiso Ruta Uno to provide toll collection services with TAG devices for the toll stations in Ro Segundo and Naranjo de Alajuela.

  • There are currently two operational toll plazas on the route, for which Kapsch will implement its SmartTOLL solution.
  • The improvements at the Ro Segundo and Naranjo toll stations complement the works to be carried out along this 55 km route, which will impact more than thirty nearby cities.
  • The electronic toll collection service will be provided for an initial 12 months, which may be extended for an additional 12 months.
