The complainant has requested details of any notes / investigations undertaken by a named police constable at a named address from Devon & Cornwall Police (D&C). D&C advised to comply with the request would exceed the appropriate limit at section 12(2) (cost of compliance exceeds appropriate limit) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that D&C was entitled to rely on section 12(2) of the FOIA to refuse the request and that appropriate section 16(1) advice and assistance has been provided.
