Following a trial period, the Station will replace human operators at the Italiano facility of EOC in Lugano, a customer Swiss Post and Matternet have served jointly since 2017.

UPS (NYSE:UPS) today announced the expansion of its industry-leading UPS Flight Forward drone delivery program to the University of California San Diego Health system.
UPS Flight Forward, in partnership with Matternet, will launch the health campus delivery program to transport various medical products between health centers and labs by unmanned aerial vehicles.
The project calls for medical professionals at Jacobs Medical Center, located on the east health campus of UC San Diego in La Jolla, to load medical parcels, such as blood samples or documents, into a secure drone container used for the flight.
In May 2018, the FAA designated the City of San Diego as one of nine lead participants in the regulators Integration Pilot Program (IPP) .
