The Company has successfully resumed its mineral exploration and development programs as of early August 2023, as the wildfires in the region gradually abate.

This includes on-site community engagement, environmental baseline field work, camp construction, road access upgrades, surface exploration, and core drilling.

A total of four (4) drill rigs are currently active on site with additional drill rigs planned to arrive on site and commence operations shortly.

The proceeds from the Strategic Investment will be used to accelerate the development activities at Corvette and for general corporate purposes.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Aug. 10, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Patriot Battery Metals Inc. (the “Company” or “Patriot”) (TSX-V: PMET) (OTCQB: PMETF) (FSE: R9GA) is pleased to provide an update on the 2022 surface exploration program at the Corvette Property (the ‘Property’) highlighted by the discovery of a new and significant lithium pegmatite cluster (CV13) situated less than 4.5 km from, and on geological trend with, the CV5-1 pegmatite corridor where drilling is currently focused. The new discovery is located central to the Property and approximately 15 km south of the Trans-Taiga all-weather road and powerline infrastructure corridor.

Key Points:

The CV13 pegmatites are situated directly on trend between the CV5-1 pegmatite corridor being actively drilled and the CV8 pegmatite, which remains to be drill tested.
The CV13 lithium pegmatite cluster is defined by two (2) contiguous trends, totalling approximately 2.3 km in combined strike length (Figure 1).
Additionally, the Company is actively permitting drill holes for initial drill testing along the CV13 pegmatite trend.

The summer phase of the 2022 drill campaign began in early June with two diamond drill rigs currently operating on site.

The summer phase of the 2022 drill campaign began in early June with two diamond drill rigs currently operating on site.
To date (since the end of the winter drill program), nine (9) NQ size drill holes (CV22-035 through 043) have been completed for a total of approximately 3,111 m (Figure 1).
Drill holes CV22-036, 038, 040, and 043 targeted the interpreted pegmatite extension between the CV5 and CV6 pegmatite outcrops.
The surface mapping will allow for more accurate geological modelling of the drill area, as well as enable refinement to drill hole targeting.

New lithium pegmatite discovery CV12 eleven (11) outcrop samples ranged from nil to >5.0% Li2O, averaging 2.81% Li2O.
Further, the pegmatites in the CV8-CV12 area host considerable tantalum, including an exceptionally high-grade core sample of 5,300 ppm Ta2O5.
In 2019, a single sample of pegmatite was collected in the area and returned a modest 0.27% Li2O and 55 ppm Ta2O5.
Based on location within the overall CV Lithium Trend, and potential pegmatite identified from satellite imagery, the area was revisited in 2021.
